 Gosego Mpotokwane

Diploma of Information Technology

TAFE was my first experience in Australia and it was very welcoming and exciting. After settling into my studies it was very clear that choosing to study at TAFE was a very good decision. My career goals were to obtain a junior level job in the IT industry. Since finishing my studies using the Diploma I completed I have obtained a junior level hardware and software job at Harvey Norman and have also been studying a Bachelor of IT at James Cook University.

Overall TAFE was a learning experience of other cultures and new experiences. If I could relive the moments I had there again I would. During my time at TAFE I learnt more efficiently. To this day when I apply for jobs, employers ask me more about my TAFE qualifications because they realise that TAFE provides a hands on experience with actual equipment rather than learning everything from a book. I plan to finish my Bachelor of IT at James Cook University and apply for residence in Australia in the near future.
